Work Experience at Rugby Art Gallery & Museum

Rugby Art Gallery and Museum welcomes interest from secondary school students looking for work experience.  We try to offer one school placement per term.   Longer term placements for university students and graduates are available dependent on skills, our need and team capacity.  Please contact us by email ragm@rugby.gov.uk if you are looking for a longer term placement.

What we offer:  We offer school students placements ranging from 3 to 5 days depending on age.  The student is given an overview of every department within the Art Gallery and Museum.  The student will spend time with the Exhibitions Officer, Collections Officer, Education Department, Visitor Services Team as well as general office and admin work.   If the student has a particular interest we will try to focus the activities towards that interest.  However this will be dependent on the current work needs and officer availability.  Please note there can be a lot of face to face contact in this role.

Requirements: We look for enthusiasm and passion rather than experience and certificates. Applications must be submitted by students themselves.  As we often get a number of applicants per post we invite applicants in for a brief interview before selection.

How to apply: Complete the  work experience application form following the link below.
